The Venue

The nostalgic Ashley Inn is the most romantic location for your indoor or outdoor destination wedding. Say your vows lakeside, under a weeping willow, on the front lawn of the antebellum mansion, or in a rustic horse barn. Our open-air, fully enclosable Carriage House is perfect for your reception, and comes equipped with all the facilities you need.

The rental includes a bridal dressing room and exclusive use of our Carriage House with beautiful limestone patio. The structure is decorated with white lights and cocktail tables, weather permitting, and it has a men’s and women’s restroom, each with two stalls and a double sink vanity.

Day of Coordinator: $850

Day-of Coordination is invaluable on your wedding day. Our day-of coordinators (DOC) are responsible, experienced, detail-oriented and will take strides to ensure that all of your months and weeks of planning are not in vain. Here’s what’s included:

Timeframe:

Initial communication will be by phone and email with a personal planning session within 30 days of your event.

DOC will be present during the rehearsal for 1 hour to help facilitate timelines and manage the flow of the ceremony.

Day of the Wedding: DOC will begin setup at 1:00pm (or agreed upon time) until start of the ceremony.

DOC will manage the event until wedding activities are completed (i.e. cake cutting, toast, bouquet toss, garter toss, etc.)

DUTIES:

Understand the expectations of the bridal couple and provide honest feedback and suggestions.

Take charge of the Rehearsal. Leadership is key to keep things running smoothly.

The Coordinator will oversee and direct all vendors and details and calmly work to resolve unexpected challenges.

THE DETAILS:

Flowers - ensures that corsages and boutonnieres get to the right people

Place flowers and programs at the ceremony location and on the reception tables

Place favors, arrangements, guest book, seating cards and other décor at the reception area

Contact vendors the week before with day-of details, delivery times, arrival and setup times, etc.

Corral the bridal party when it is time for the ceremony

Direct the ceremony so that everyone finds their place

Oversee any special seating requests/needs

Light candles for ceremony and reception

Manage last-minute emergencies

Buffer questions, concerns and disagreements between bridal party, vendors, and family

Be an encouraging and positive presence

Taste homemade Southern cooking at it's best from our bed and breakfast menu. We also work with local catering services to accommodate large gatherings. Chicken, steak, and seafood comes from our local organic butcher and is delicious! All items made on-site by our Inn chef.

Price of meal includes the set up of tables, chairs, linens, and centerpiece decor. Price also includes table settings for each guest including: china / stoneware, flatware / silverware, and white cloth napkins.

You may hire your own caterer, check out our preferred ones.
